 Athens Baby Center Roots Research Center will be opening a baby center in Athens, Greece and the name of the center will be announced on opening day. We still need more donations and funds to open this humanitarian project on our projected schedule. The baby center will host healthy babies abandoned at the maternity houses in Athens. Healthy babies, because unfortunately we do not have the medical background and experience to host babies with illnesses such as mental health problems, autistics, and physical needs. These special babies go to special hospitals to care for them. The babies will be at least one month old; babies with families that have problems and can not look after them, or very young children that have been abused. The ages of the children will range between one month through three years old. The children will be referred to prescreened reliable and loving foster care families. The children will return to their families only after confirming the family’s healthy environment, or if the social welfare agrees, they will go through the adoption procedure. These young children will not stay at the baby center forever because the center is not designed as an orphanage. Roots Research Center will see that the abandoned babies that come into the center will go to loving families that will benefit the child. Also the baby center might be able to host single mothers with their baby, or the baby alone until the mother finds a job and is able to take care of her child again. At this time the mother will have access to her baby to care fulfilling the motherly bond with her child.
